Urban Eco is an independent site that helps you pick a home EV charger. We write plain buying guides, side-by-side matchups and clear picks for people who charge their car in a garage or driveway.
You don't need an electrician's vocabulary to read us. We explain the terms that matter, like amps, Level 2, NEMA 14-50, J1772 and NACS, in everyday words.
What we cover
Our guides cover Level 2 wall chargers, portable Level 1 and Level 2 cords, and chargers that fit a Tesla. We also answer the questions buyers ask most, like how long charging takes, which outlet a charger needs and what it costs to run.
We compare models from brands like ChargePoint, Emporia, Grizzl-E, Wallbox and Lectron. New guides arrive over time.
What we do
For every charger we cover, we read the product details, specs and maker information. We also look at what owners often say about it.

What we don't do
We don't make or sell chargers, and no brand pays us to rank its products.

We don't give wiring instructions. A licensed electrician should install a hardwired or 240-volt charger, and local code and permits apply.
We don't claim to have tested every charger ourselves. When we pick something, we tell you why, based on its specs, its features and owner feedback.
